The Philippine Army, through the Office of the Army Chief Historian, concluded its History Photo Contest on March 20, 2023 at the Philippine Army Museum, Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, Philippine Army Commander Brig. Gen. Moises M. Nayve joined Army Chief Historian Mr. Emeterio A. Ornedo Jr. as they awarded the winners of the photo contest in a ceremony. The Individual Category's 1st and 2nd Place was awarded to Luci Tigas while Pvt. John Kay Ungriano took 3rd Place. The 11th Infantry Battalion took 1st place in the Unit Category and the First Scout Ranger Regiment won 2nd and 3rd place.
The Philippine Army History Photo Contest and Exhibit are one of the activities lined up in celebration of the organization's 126th Founding Anniversary Celebration. Said activity aims to promote pride and awareness of Army history and heritage among military personnel and the general public.
