The Charlie “Challenger” Battery, 1st Field Artillery Battalion (1FAB) and the Bravo “Kidlat” Battery, 2nd Field Artillery Battalion (2FAB) passed the rigid standards set by the Army Artillery Regiment’s Certification Committee in separate proficiency tests held in Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte and Makilala, North Cotabato from April 25 to April 28, 2023.

The Charlie Battery, 1FAB passed the certification test held at the 3rd Howitzer Platoon Firebase in Barangay Doña Cecilia, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte on April 28, 2023. Meanwhile, the Bravo Battery, 2FAB passed the test conducted at its unit headquarters in Makilala, North Cotabato on April 25, 2023.
The certification program is a regiment initiative to ensure proficiency of field artillery personnel in carrying out their tasks. Likewise, the program assesses the training and learning depth of field artillery personnel with the end goal of ensuring highly-competent firing units capable of delivering accurate and timely artillery fires.
The said certification program also reinforces the thrust of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., to enhance the individual skills of soldiers and unit competencies with the end goal of bolstering mission accomplishment.
