Royal Brunei Land Force Chief of Staff visits HPA

Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Chief of Staff Lt. Col. Pengiran Mohamed Sufri Bin Pengiran Haji Rosli rendered a courtesy call on Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Potenciano C. Camba at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on May 2, 2023.
 
Lt. Col. Sufri is in the country for the 4th Brunei-Philippines (BRUPHIL) Army Working Group (AWG) Meeting scheduled from May 1 to May 4, 2023. Key officers from the Philippine Army and the Royal Brunei Land Force will discuss matters of mutual interest and lay out plans for Army-to-Army engagements between the two ground forces for 2024 during the four-day meeting.
 
The annual AWG, which is alternately hosted by PA and RBLF, serves as a venue to update bilateral activities within the year and to develop annual and medium-term engagement plans that can contribute to the PA’s Capability Development.
 
Lt. Col. Sufri, during the meeting, conveyed his gratitude to the Philippines for being one of the closest allies of Brunei in the region. Maj. Gen. Camba meanwhile emphasized the role of Brunei in helping foster peace and progress in Mindanao.
