Former president Rodrigo Duterte lauds newly minted Scout Rangers

Former president and Commander-in-Chief Rodrigo R. Duterte graced the closing ceremony of the Scout Ranger Course (SRC) “Nasiglat” Class 219-2022 at Camp Pablo Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan on May 19, 2023.

“Always remember the people whom you have pledged to serve,” the former president told the newly minted Scout Rangers who have earned the “Tabak” badge through the remarkable skill, stamina and spirit they have demonstrated during the course of their training. “Now will also be an opportune time to thank the Scout Rangers for their valuable contributions in retaking the city of Marawi when I was president,” the former commander said, adding that he visited Marawi City ten times during the five-month campaign to retake Marawi from ISIS-inspired Maute terrorists.

"I am deeply grateful for your service to our flag and country. Your dedication, commitment and resolve to perform your duty are truly commendable," former president Duterte said.

The former president emphasized the crucial role of the newly minted Scout Rangers in combat operations throughout the country. “Your technical knowledge and training will be valuable in defeating our enemies, upholding our country’s sovereignty, and securing our people’s liberty,” the former chief executive remarked.
