Army ushers in Christmas season

The Philippine Army ushered in the Christmas season through the simultaneous Christmas lighting ceremony and the inauguration of enhanced Division Administrative Coordinating Center (DACC) facilities in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on December 1, 2023.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido led the activity, highlighting “Paglilingkod, Pamilya at Pagasenso” (Service, Family and Progress).

“Truly, this year’s Christmas is not just about the gatherings and the feasts, but a moment to reflect on our accomplishments and to express our appreciation for the unity and determination that have carried us forward,” Lt. Gen. Galido said in his keynote speech during the Army-wide simultaneous Christmas lighting activity. Meanwhile, the Army Chief said that the enhanced DACC facilities will provide conducive living spaces for liaison officers and personnel of various Philippine Army Major Units.

“May the interactive display of Christmas lights in our Headquarters and across our Army units serve as our inspiration to foster the values of hope, peace, and solidarity during the Christmas season,” the Army Chief concluded.
