Celebrity reservists join mechanized infantry operations training

CAMP O’DONNELL, Capas, Tarlac - The Armor (Pambato) Division under the leadership of MGen Robert C Dauz AFP recently conducted the traditional Reception Rites for Mechanized Infantry Operations Training CL 10-2020 on February 12, 2020 held in front of Yap Hall building, Armor Div with BGen Ezra James P Enriquez AFP, Assistant Division Commander as the Keynote Speaker.

Col Anthon G Abrina, Chief of Staff, Armor Division welcomed the students of Mechanized Infantry Operations Training CL 10-2020. He reiterated the importance of reception rites to the students specially the reservists as one of the most cherished tradition in the noble profession of arms.

Ltc Ferdinand M Dela Cruz (Cav) PA, Commandant of The Armor School presented to BGen Enriquez the seventy three (73) young men and women including two celebrity reservist officers namely 2Lt Ronnie D Liang (Res) PA and 2Lt Zahra Bianca A Saldua (Res) PA for the traditional reception rites in order to test the physical stamina of the students. The training directorate headed by Maj Reynaldo C Valencia (Cav) PA closely supervised the said rites.

The Mechanized Infantry Operations Training aims to educate and train newly assigned Officers/Enlisted Personnel with this division and other unit of the Philippine Army. It will provide the students the basic foundation to become members of the Armor (Pambato) Division and will provide basic knowledge and skills on Mechanized Infantry Operations. Likewise, this training also aims to highlight our Division, our assets and capabilities that play a very significant role in the Army’s operations and AFP as a whole.

Enriquez said in his speech, The Armor (Pambato) Division, Philippine Army is truly honored to accept and train the two reservist officers and told them that they are so lucky because they will be trained “Under Armor”. ‘’The program that we prepared for you will help you learn the basics, the peculiarity of our unit’s mission, how to lead your troops, but most importantly to push yourself beyond your limits while maintaining your composure as Army officers,’’ he added. He also reminded other students of MIOT to create a high standards and big goals through commitment and determination in this training. The Ceremony was attended by organic personnel of the division headquarters.
