CGPA visits troops in 3ID forward Patrol Bases

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) visited the soldiers assigned in 3rd Infantry Division’s Patrol Base (PB) units on Friday, June 25, 2021.
Maj. Gen. Andres Centino has been visiting various remote Army units to personally see the situation of the soldiers, to boost their morale and deliver needed supplies, and reiterate the command's thrusts in fighting the enemy.
The CGPA went to Jayubo PB in Lambunao, Iloilo; and Tubudan PB in San Remegio, Antique as well as the 61st Infantry Battalion’s Headquarters in Miag-Ao, Iloilo.
PB serves units as forward positions to conduct combat and reconnaissance patrol as well as maintain peace and security in their area of operation.
“We should be aggressive and continue to intensify our operations to end the threats of insurgency in the timeline set by our commander-in-chief,” said the Maj. Gen. Centino. “Know that the Army appreciates and recognizes your efforts and we are here to support you as we fight our enemies,” he added.#
