Anchored on the theme “Kagitingan ng mga Beterano, Pundasyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino”, the commemorative rites were graced by the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS), President of the Republic of the Philippines and Commander-in-Chief of the AFP, His Excellency Ferdinand R. The annual tradition gives honor to the Filipino heroes who fought and died for our country and also recognizes the legacy of our war veterans in helping their communities.

"We celebrate all the individual acts of valor and sacrifice. We celebrate the Filipino spirit. We celebrate our countrymen’s deep, abiding love of every Filipino: love for our land, love for our people, and love for our freedom," President Marcos remarked.
