Outgoing Australian Defense Attaché Col. Paul Joseph Barta and his successor, Royal Australian Navy Captain Emma McDonald-Kerr, rendered a joint introductory and exit call on Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on December 11, 2023.
Lt. Gen. Galido and the two Australian defense officials discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation and mutual trust between both armies, highlighting the Philippine Army's commitment to strengthening its ties with the Australian Army.
It can be recalled that both countries are working together to address common security challenges, including maritime security, counterterrorism, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. At present, the Philippine Army's engagement with the Australian Army remains one of the Philippines' most robust partnerships and cooperation in defense and security.
