Army kicks-off Cyber Skills Development Activity

The Philippine Army commenced its two-day Cyber Skills Development Activity in an opening ceremony in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on February 24, 2024.

Cyber teams from eight schools, officers, and enlisted personnel and other participants are taking part in the two-day activity which serves a platform for them to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, foster collaboration, and enrich critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The said activity also aims to enrich the participants’ cybersecurity knowledge and foster closer collaboration between the Philippine Army, the academe and civilian community.

“With our vision to enable a strong Army, we also dedicate this event to all of you not just to showcase our cyber capabilities but also to provide a glimpse of how we can better defend the volatile cyber domain,” Army Signal Regiment Commander Brig. Gen. Alejandro J. Papa, who served as the guest of honor and speaker, told the participants in his remarks.
