Team Army joins in the AFP-hosted Little Olympics

Team Army composed of Army personnel and civilian employees’ dependents joined the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) -hosted Little Olympics 2023 in an opening ceremony at Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City on July 25, 2023.
 
The Olympics is an annual sports event for dependents of uniformed services personnel to provide an avenue for showcasing their sporting talents while fostering meaningful relationships with peers.
Young athletes from General Headquarters AFP, Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology will be competing in 11 sports events such as 3K and 5K Run, Badminton, Basketball, Darts, Football, Karate-do, Swimming, Darts, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Volleyball, and Modern Dance Competition.
 
AFP Chief of Staff and Army Commanding General Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., emphasizes the event's significance in promoting physical fitness and fostering harmonious relations among uniformed services and civilian employees' dependents.
