The Philippine Army received two-storey modular facility units from the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loans Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI) in a ceremonial handover at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on October 17, 2023.
AFPSLAI President and CEO Vice Admiral Gaudencio C. Collado Jr. (Ret), handed over the signed deed of donation and symbolic key to Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido during the ceremony.
Said donation is under the advocacy of AFPSLAI’s corporate philanthropy which allows them to give back to the members and the community they serve through funding initiatives and charitable contributions.
During the ceremony, the Army Chief conveyed his appreciation to AFPSLAI for their untiring efforts to improve the quality of life of all men and women in the uniformed services.
"To AFPSLAI, thank you very much for your benevolent donation. When we address the necessities such as proper living quarters, proper dining and working environment, the Army personnel will thrive personally and this also strengthens the Philippine Army as a whole," said Lt. Gen. Galido.
