22nd Army Internal Auditor assumes post

A new Army Internal Auditor tasked to safeguard the command's operation and performance audits assumed the post in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony presided by Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on October 23, 2023.
 
Col. Ramon Antonio E. Bello is taking the helm of the Office of the Army Internal Auditor (OAIA), where his main tasks include strengthening the Army's internal control system, ensuring transparency, accountability, and good governance within the organization, and maintaining checks and balances. Prior to his designation, he held various positions, including Assistant Chief of Staff for Financial Management, G10, and Deputy of the Office of the Army Financial Management, all within the Philippine Army. Col. Bello is a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Bantay Laya" Class of 1994. He holds a Master's in Business Administration from Wesleyan College, a Master's in Defense Policy and International Security from Universidad de Complutense de Madrid, and a National Security Studies diploma from the National Defense College of the Philippines.
 
Meanwhile, the outgoing Army Internal Auditor, Col. Lauro G. Oliveros, has served in various roles, including Chief of Staff of the AFP Health Service Command, Commanding Officer of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion, and Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics, G4, all within the Armor Division. Col Oliveros is also a member of the PMA Class of 1994. He holds a National Security Studies diploma from the Development Academy of the Philippines.
 
During the ceremony, Lt. Gen. Galido lauded Col. Oliveros for his dedicated service and significant contributions to OAIA. He also expressed his confidence in Col. Bello's ability, "I am confident that you will put your experience and your skills to good use for the OAIA and the Philippine Army. Remember the imperative of the proper management of our resources as an essential tool for success," the CGPA remarked.
