Army installs new chief for its financial management

The Philippine Army installed a new Assistant Chief of Staff for Financial Management, G10, in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony with the Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Potenciano C. Camba as Presiding Officer at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on October 24, 2023.
 
Col. Christopher M. Diaz takes the helm as the new Assistant Chief of Staff for Financial Management. Prior to his designation, he served as the Executive Assistant to the Commanding General Philippine Army, Chief of Unified Command Staff, and Assistant Chief of the Unified Command Staff for Operations (U3) under the Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM). Col. Diaz belongs to the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Marilag" Class of 1995. Col. Diaz also received Public Financial Management Reforms training from the Philippine Association for Government Budget Administration (PAGBA, Inc.). He holds a Master in Public Management Major in Development Security from the Development Academy of the Philippines.
 
Col. Ramon Antonio E. Bello, the outgoing G10, has been appointed as the current Army Internal Auditor. His previous designations include the Assistant Chief of Staff and Deputy of the OG10, PA, and Executive Officer of the Office of the Army Financial Management. Col. Bello belongs to the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Bantay Laya” Class of 1994. He holds a Master's in Business Administration from Wesleyan College, a Master's in Defense Policy and International Security from Universidad de Complutense de Madrid, and a National Security Studies diploma from the National Defense College of the Philippines.
 
In his remarks, the Army Chief of Staff expressed his confidence in Col. Diaz, stating, "To Col. Diaz, as you commence another journey with greater responsibility, I am certain that you will put your competence and experience to good use in always upholding the best interests of the Philippine Army and the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Financial Management."
