Team Army composed of Army personnel and civilian employees' dependents bagged a gold medal in the 4x100 relay for Boys (15 - 17 years old category) in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) -hosted Little Olympics 2023 at Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City on July 25, 2023.
At the same time during the event, team Army dependents also placed 2nd place in the same event for Girls (14 yrs old & below as well as 15 to 17 yrs old category), copping two Silver medals. Dependents from the AFP, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) competed in the said event.
AFP Chief of Staff and Army Commanding General Philippine Army Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., emphasizes the event's significance in fostering harmonious relations among uniformed services and civilian employees' dependents and enhancing their athletic skills.
