Australian Army’s Special Operations Command Chief renders courtesy call on CGPA

Australian Army’s (AUSA) Special Operations Command Chief Maj. Gen. Paul Kenny rendered a courtesy call on Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido to bolster ties between the two armies on March 6, 2024 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
 
Lt. Gen. Galido and Maj. Gen. Kenny discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation and mutual trust between both armies, especially on engagements covering counter-terrorism efforts. The call further highlights the Philippine Army’s commitment to strengthen its ties with the Australian Army as the two nations enter a new golden era of strategic relations.
 
It can be noted that the Australian Army is set to host the 7th PA-AUSA Staff Talks from April 2 to 5, 2024 in Canberra, Australia. PA and AUSA troops also train together in annual bilateral exercises such as Carabaroo and Kasangga.
