Quezon City Peace and Order Council

29 October 2020 - Joint Task Force – NCR (JTF-NCR) in the person of LTC EUGENE PAUL ARBUES, Commander, 11th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, Philippine Army participated in 4th Quarter Quezon City Peace and Order Council (QCPOC) joint meeting in connection with the Capacitating Urban Communities for Peace and Development (CUCPD) through Video Tele-Conference (VTC) via Zoom which was attended by the members of Quezon City Peace and Order Council and City Development Council (QCPOC – CDC), Local Development Council, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) of Quezon City headed by Hon. Ma. Josefina G Belmonte, Mayor of Quezon City, wherein the main objectives are the institutionalization of CUCPD of Q.C and cascade it to the barangays and POC situational updates of all concerns.
Mr. Raymond de Asis, DILG – NCR representative, discussed the Executive Order No. 70 and the End Local Communist Armed Conflict
(ELCAC) in regards to strengthening the main thrust of the existing local and various bodies and to be able to raise the concerns of the agency.
LTC EUGENE PAUL B ARBUES INF (GSC) PA, Commander, 11th Civil-Military Operations Battalion propounded the CUCPD’s timeline, advocacy and promulgation, phases, execution as well as the sustainment in connection with the activities to be impose for the year 2021.
Mr. Nick Alistaire, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency-NCR, discussed the plans, programs, strategies and activities regarding the issues and problems that is continuously arising the populace of the CPP-NPA-NDF in which the primary target is to raise awareness on Area of Monitoring (AOM) works sectoral organizers as part of the City Government.
While, Assistant City Administrator (ACA) Alberto Kimpo, delivered the Quezon City’s efforts on ELCAC. He also tackled the implementation output and schedule, duties and functions and Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflicts (RTF-ELCAC) Clusters.
The result of joint meeting encourage the committees to discuss the objectives, plans and actions on Quezon City’s Peace and Order merging the goal of AFP, PNP and Local Government Units (LGUs) to become reliable in attaining the mission for the betterment of the community.
