PA-USARPAC concludes Cybersecurity SMEE

The Philippine Army (PA) and the U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) concluded the five-day PA-USARPAC Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) at Ricarte Hall, Philippine Army Officers’ Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on May 26, 2023.
 
The five-day activity between the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Airforce, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Cyber Group, and Communication Electronics and Information Systems Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CEISSAFP) enhanced cyber workforce competencies through different cyber tools and cyber exercise platform during the interaction with fellow Cybersecurity practitioners from US counterparts. The dialogue is a continuing effort of the PA in enhancing the capabilities and competencies of the PA Cyber Workforce on incident response, mitigation, and active defense operations.
 
Assistant Chief of Staff for Command and Control, Communications, and Cyber Systems, Col. Constancio M. Espina II, during his closing remarks, pointed out that the PA-US Army engagement in Cybersecurity has made significant progress and wished that future engagements will dig deeper into new topics to become more interoperable in terms of cyber operations.
