Army Summer Sports Clinic 2023 ends

The Philippine Army, through the Special Service Center of the Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group (HHSG), concluded the one-month-long Summer Sports Clinic 2023 in a closing ceremony with the HHSG Commander Brig. Gen. Moises M. Nayve Jr. served as Guest of Honor and Speaker at the Philippine Army Gymnasium, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, on July 14, 2023.
 
The sports clinic is a free annual training program for 18 years and below Army dependents. This year, the clinic provided training in various activities, including swimming, basketball, badminton, karate-do, chess, beach volleyball, arnis, and others. The activities aimed to facilitate interaction among PA dependents, offering them opportunities to develop their social skills while engaging in physical activities. The design of the training is to promote holistic growth as well as to foster physical and psycho-emotional development.
 
The Army Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., lauded the Special Service Center for organizing the Summer Sports Clinic. He emphasized the sports clinic’s role in encouraging Army dependents to enhance their physical and psycho-social abilities, nurture their talents, and refine their sports skills during the summer season.
