Newly Fabricated Container Van Quarters

ARMY SUPPORT COMMAND “Army Vision: By 2028, a world-class Army that is a source of national pride”. FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Special Services Center (SSC), Army Support Command, Philippine Army based in Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila inaugurated its newly fabricated container van quarters last November 21, 2016.

The fabrication was in compliance to the desire of the Commander, ASCOM to provide additional billeting facilities for the athletes of the Special Services Center. It also follows the Command’s belief that having a decent place for the athletes to stay contributes to the successful accomplishment of the unit’s mission. It, thereby, provides effective and efficient special service support to the Philippine Army and its dependents.

During the inauguration, the SSC athletes appeared to have boosted morale and seemed to be prouder as members of the unit for, after a long time, they now have a decent barracks to stay and rest.

The inauguration was graced by MAJOR GENERAL ELMER C PABALE AFP, Commander, ASCOM together with COLONEL KIRAM S GRAJO, Director of SSC. Also present during the occasion was COL FILEMON P RADAM JR, Chief of Staff, ASCOM; COL JOSE B BROSO, Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Service Battalion; and personnel of SSC.

LTC ROY L ANGGAO, Command Chaplain, officiated the blessing of the newly fabricated container van quarters. These container vans were donated by different stakeholders of the Command as a result of its harmonious relationship with the civilian sectors.

After the inauguration, Commander, ASCOM also spearheaded the blessing of the newly renovated classroom of Service Support Training School (SSTS) with LTC EUGENE F LAGUE, Commandant of the said school. The said facility is one of the Command’s initiatives on improving the billeting and classroom requirements of the said school.

MGEN PABALE expressed his appreciation to the leadership of COL GRAJO and LTC LAGUE and their personnel as well as the coordinating staffs behind the realization of the project.

“To the athletes of SSC, take good care of your career, your profession; these facilities are for you. Rest assured that the Army Support Command is supporting all the needs of its personnel, and, hopefully, madadagdagan pa natin itong container vans na ito in the future.” MGEN PABALE added during the inauguration.
