Army Support Command Installed Three Battalion Commanders

ARMY SUPPORT COMMAND FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – MAJOR GENERAL ELMER C PABALE, AFP, Commander of the Army Support Command, Philippine Army presided over the Change-of-Command Ceremony of the Transportation Battalion (TBn), Logistics Support Group (LSG) held at Headquarters Transportation Battalion on November 03, 2016.

LTC FELIMON B DUMORAN, the outgoing Commanding Officer of the Transportation Battalion was succeeded by LT. COL. SERGIO R BENITEZ, the former Assistant Chief of Staff for Education and Training, G8. LTC DUMORAN took over the helm of the 7th Forward Service Support Unit (7FSSU) in a Change of Command Ceremony at its Headquarters, Arellano Boulevard, Cebu City on November 08, 2016. On the other hand, LTC JESUS JEFFREY F GRAPA, the outgoing Commander of 7FSSU was installed as the new Commanding Officer of Ammunition and Armaments Battalion (AABn) in a ceremony presided by MGEN ELMER C PABALE, ASCOM Commander at its Headquarters in Camp Servillano Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac City on November 15, 2016. LTC GRAPA, the outgoing Commander of 7FSSU, succeeded LTC GEORGE C CABREROS as the Commanding Officer of AABn. The latter is slated to assume higher position in the Logistics Support Group of ASCOM. The Change of Command Ceremony of TBn was attended by the different General, Special, Personal, and Technical Staff of ASCOM and some subordinate unit Commanders. On the other hand, the Change of Command Ceremony of AABn and 7FSSU was witnessed by different stakeholders in their supported units. In his message, MGEN PABALE challenged the new Battalion Commanders to continue the good work done by their predecessors and, at the same time, to learn from their setbacks for their unit to be more effective. He also encouraged them to work and constantly consult with their supported units in their areas in the performance of their duties as Combat Service Support providers. “Turn-over of Command is very important as we are advancing in the road of transformation. Different Commanders have different skills, knowledge, and experiences; hence, different kinds of leadership” MGEN PABALE said.
