9TH FSSU @ 23
The 9th Forward Service Support Unit recently celebrated its 23rd Founding Anniversary last 20 February 2021 with COL EMMANUEL G ALILIN OS (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 2nd Logistics Support Group as Guest of Honour and Speaker. The simple celebration started with a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by LTC JOSE E ESPAÑO CHS followed by the blessing of the Admin Building and the newly renovated Mess Hall to include the newly rebuilt vehicles. In his speech, COL ALILIN congratulated the Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Human Resource for its untiring efforts to push the supplies and services to the frontlines.
During the anniversary week, the 9th Forward Service Support Unit was also awarded with a Campaign Streamer last 26 February 2021 at Headquarters, 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, Kuta Major Ceasar L Sang-an, Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zambonga del Sur for its significant contributions as supporting effort in the dismantling of Guerilla Front in western Mindanao area. The Campaign Streamer was awarded by no less than LTGEN CORLETO S VINLUAN JR PA, Commander, Western Mindanao Command, AFP and assisted by MGEN GENEROSO M PONIO PA, Commander of 1st Infantry "Tabak" Division. Through the hard work and dedication of 9FSSU personnel, the awarded Campaign Streamer serves as a manifestation of the unit’s relevance and responsiveness in pushing forward the needed supplies and services of its supported units up to the frontlines.
For the past 23 years, the 9th Forward Service Support Unit has been and will continue to play an active role in ensuring that Philippine Army units operating within Western Mindanao are provided with a quality and responsive logistics support and services that they deserve.
