11FSSU PARTICIPATED IN WORLD-WIDE EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
The 11th Forward Service Support Unit personnel, together with members of the 3rd EODP, 2nd EODC, EODBN, participated in the worldwide celebration of Earth Day at its adopted carbon forest site in Barangay Talomo, Davao City last April 22, 2021.
Following this year’s team, “Restore Our Earth”, the unit was able to plant 300 trees that are endemic in the area. This year’s celebration aligns with the unit’s emphasis that nurturing our Mother Earth is an individual responsibility. It is up to every one of us to Restore Our Earth not just because we care about the natural world but also because we live on it. The unit judiciously inspects compliance of its personnel to plant trees as reflected in their Personal Scorecard.
The giving of gifts followed the tree planting activity to the birthday celebrators for the month of April.
